Sian-Beth Hitchner

Sian, a passionate and accomplished dancer, embarked on her journey in the world of dance at the age of 3. Her dedication and talent quickly became evident, leading her to graduate with distinction in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary Dance from the prestigious National School of the Arts. Simultaneously, she graced the stage as a member of the professional ‘Corpse de Ballet’ at the renowned South African Ballet Theatre.

Sian’s commitment to her craft is further highlighted by her attainment of a Performing Arts Licentiate through Trinity Guildhall. Her artistry has taken her across borders, as she contributed to internationally acclaimed shows for Sun International and various cabarets, captivating audiences with her unique charisma and exceptional performances.

A prominent figure in the local dancing and theatre community in Port Elizabeth, Sian has left an indelible mark. Her versatility shines through as she has not only performed but also choreographed numerous revues, musicals, cabarets, and pantomimes for local theatre non-profit organizations.

Beyond the stage, Sian is the proud owner of the DanceMouse Company franchise in Port Elizabeth. Through this venture, she aspires to create a haven for young dancers, offering them a safe and nurturing environment to showcase their talents. Sian’s commitment to fostering the next generation of dancers underscores her passion for the art form and her desire to contribute positively to the local dance community.

In every facet of her career, Sian exemplifies professionalism, artistry, and a deep-seated dedication to the world of dance. Her journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring dancers and a testament to the transformative power of passion and hard work in the pursuit of one’s dreams.

Abigail Ranwell

Abigail, a seasoned dance professional, boasts an impressive 16-year journey in the world of dance. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her 9 years of dedicated training in RAD Ballet, coupled with a diverse exploration of styles such as jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, and pas de deux work.

Abigail’s prowess in dance has not gone unnoticed, as she proudly holds both Eastern Cape and South African colors for her outstanding contributions to the art form. Her passion for dance extends beyond her own accomplishments, as she has transitioned seamlessly into the role of a qualified dance instructor for the esteemed DanceMouse Company.

Since joining us in 2021, Abigail has become an invaluable member of our team, and we wholeheartedly believe that she is among the very best in her field. Her unique brand of charisma resonates with our dancers, creating a positive and inspiring learning environment. Abigail’s ability to connect with her students is unparalleled, and their admiration for her is a testament to the impact she has on their dance journeys.

Theatre runs deep in Abigail’s veins, with an impressive portfolio of 17 productions in the local Port Elizabeth Theatre scene. Her versatility shines through as she has contributed to a wide range of performances, from reviews to Shakespearean plays, cabarets, and musicals. Abigail’s rich experience in theatre enhances her teaching, providing students with a holistic understanding of performance art.
